This is a Galvanized Steel A36/A123 4'' x 5.4# x 20' C-Channel.
The "#" of the channel means the Weight Per Foot in Pounds. When multiplied by the length, it will give you the total weight of the channel.
Ideal for all structural applications, general fabrication, manufacturing and repairs. Steel C Channels are widely used in industrial maintenance, agricultural implements, transportation equipment, truck beds, trailers, and more. It's C-shape configuration is ideal for added strength and rigidity over steel angles when your project's load is vertical or horizontal.
This C-Channel been hot dipped in a zinc rich galvanizing process. Galvanized C-Channels are a lower cost alternative to stainless steel to achieve rust free protection for up to 30 years, while maintaining comparable strength with a durable hard surface coating. Galvanized C-Channels can be cut, machined or welded by common methods used for regular steel, but adequate ventilation should be used to avoid inhalation of fumes when heated. Any holes drilled or welded areas should also be treated.
