ER308L .035 DIAMETER 2LB SPOOLER308/308L is used for welding types 304, 304L,308, and 308L stainless steels. It is very similar to type 308, but has a carbon content held to a max of .03% to avoid carbide precipitation. This product can also be used for welding types 321 and 347 stainless steels. Most frequently used for welding base metals of similar composition. Conforms to AWS A5.9.
Features
- Used for welding types 308, 321 and 347 stainless steels.
- Suitable for welding on cryogenic equipment.
- AWS A5.7.
- Low carbon content for use in pulp, paper, refinery, dairy, and chemical equipment.
- Most frequently used for base metals of similar composition.
- The dual classification ensures the maximum carbon content is 0.03 Percent to increase resistance to intergranular corrosion.
- Capable of x-ray quality welds.
- Welds base metals of similar composition
- Lower carbon content (.03% max.) resists carbide precipitation that can cause weld corrosion
Applications
- Welding base metals of similar composition such as 201, 202, 301, 302, 304, 305 and 308 (and L series)
